Southeast Volusia has a strong and diverse economic base, from tourism to manufacturing. The Chamber of Commerce is the representative for the business community, serving as a voice for concerns about regulatory legislation, responsible growth, and community safety. Business is the lifeblood of our community, whether it is tourism, manufacturing, agriculture or construction. Substantial contributors to the region’s diverse economy include light manufacturing, fishing, agri-business, real estate, construction, paint manufacturing, boat building, machining, aviation, printing and aqua-culture.
Collectively, the community of Southeast Volusia stimulates diverse economic activity. All three communities are making a concerted effort to attract newcomers as they serve existing and expanding commercial and manufacturing interests. All cities are working to improve the available opportunities with special emphasis placed on streamlining permitting processes to accommodate business, and in offering a variety of incentives to businesses looking to expand or relocate to our area. The SEV Chamber of Commerce works in a cooperative effort with other chambers of commerce in Volusia County to best meet the needs of incoming prospects for economic development.
